Negotiation & Deal Making Entry Post

I learned how to professionally negotiate from this class. Once at my old school I took a psychology class which taught me how to sympathize and understand the way people think. I have always looked forward to this class since the beginning of my program as I have always wanted to know where to get started and perfecting the gift of negotiation. My mother used to always say it is not what you say but how you talk to a lot of people that gets you on your way. Upon the exercise that we had to for homework I saw what it like to be in the pilot shoes of a real negotiation. I now see that it is true if you add value to your opponent within the negotiation it could grant you better results. My objectives for this class was to learn what it takes to make a deal and conduct a full out successful negotiation. This is going to help me inside my field and my career as well because it may come down to royalty splits or studio time and I’ll be able to handle that and fight for my way in an accordingly manner. There was a time when I began college at my first school in Alabama and I suddenly fell ill. Student affairs decided to send me home to recover but after a month or, so I was feeling better ready to give it another shot. Upon my return I was not greeted with open arms being that we had only had 3 weeks in a semester I missed it wasn’t looking too good for me, but I refused to go down with a fight. I called every official I knew and told them I had a lawyer and that I just want to go school. As wrong as that may have been maybe if I wouldn’t have done that I never would’ve been able to gob back..
